I took the risk, finally. And you know what? It didn't kill me! It didn't even hurt. It actually felt really good. It still feels really good!
I started just putting it out there, my words in the form of a blog. Yeah, I've been blogging for years, but I have very seldom shared a post on social media to link back to it. I'll be the first to say they are not grand words, nothing profound and not even eloquent. It's a start.
The title of the blog really does say it all, my goal is to keep it simple while I strive to live well and love well. These two goals encompass everything. I want to use stories to answer the question, what does that look like? What does it look like to love God with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind? What does it look like to love my neighbor as myself? Jesus tells us that the entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:37-40)
So many people, so many different walks of life, so many ways to fulfill these two commandments. I'll write about the view from my journey, that of a fifty-something year old wife, mother, and grandmother.
