Granola

INGREDIENTS


4 cups Old Fashioned rolled oats

1 1/2 cup sliced almonds or other nut of choice

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon (more if you're like me and love cinnamon)

3/4 tsp kosher salt

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/3 cup honey

2 tsp vanilla

1 egg white

DIRECTIONS


  1. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. Stir butter, honey, vanilla, and egg white together.

  3. Pour over dry ingredients and mix until all ingredients are well coated.

  4. Line a large cookie sheet (or two) with parchment paper. Spread mixture in single layers.

  5. Bake at 300 degrees for 30-35 minutes, stirring and turning frequently.

  6. Allow too cool and store in airtight container.

*Granola will firm up during cooling. If you prefer more cluster-like pieces, push the mixture down with spoon before baking.
