Tuna salad sandwiches are easy to throw together and a pretty healthy choice.
I have discovered that my mom prefers oil packed tuna - well, who wouldn't, really? But water or oil packed is fine.
Mom used to make stuffed tomatoes - it was a big, round, ripe tomato filled with cottage cheese and tuna salad. It was definitely not for me, but folks round our neck of the woods loved them.
1 family size package of tuna
1/2 small onion, diced
1 stalk celery, chopped fine
2 T sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup Hellman’s mayonnaise
Break up tuna in a bowl and add the remaining ingredients.
Combine well.
Refrigerate until use.
