Walk

To put one foot in front of the other. A lesson for life.

This is another way of doing the next right thing. Today, the next right is taking an actual walk. I miss my favorite trail and the serenity it so often provides.

It's Monday, and that means a list of fairly mundane things that need to be done. But I consider these things my "job", and I love my job. I wouldn't want any other - I'd choose this one every time given the option.

It's August 2nd and the high today is forecast to be 80 degrees. That's unbelievable to me. It's almost frightening because it's just part of a bigger weather pattern that is becoming more and more bizarre compared to what we're all used to.

I'm going to go do that thing - putting one foot in front of the other - whether that's on the park trail or doing the mundane things. Just one foot in front of the other. Maybe today is a good day to give it a try if you've never thought of it this way.

"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."
