Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

Who cares what I think anyway?

I ask myself, why bother to write what I'm thinking here or anywhere. I guess because it's my blog and maybe one day I'll want to look back and remember what I was thinking at a given time - who knows, who cares?

Well, what I've been thinking about a lot lately is how it saddens me to hear people say that they didn't even bother watching the presidential inauguration because they weren't happy with the outcome of our election. I'm not thrilled with the outcome either but I'm still, as cliche as it sounds, proud to be an American. This is my country, my government and my elected president; not elected by me but by the majority of the American voters. I'm not particularly optimstic about the things that will happen over the next fews year but I'm willng to give it a chance. All things happen for a reason - all things.

As Christians who are deeply concerned about the policies of our new president, we need to pray about our role in this new era. We can't change other people, we have to start with ourselves and that has to be enough. Are we doing enough in our own homes to raise Godly children? Children who will grow to be adults who know good from evil and will choose good even though evil surrounds them and is expected of them by others who do not know the difference or refuse to acknowledge the difference?

A dear friend's favorite quote - "Do small things with great love" - and change the world!

To be continued... maybe
