Savory Mozzarella Bread Round

1 unsliced round loaf of sourdough bread (about a pound)
1 lb Monterey Jack or Mozzarrella cheese either sliced thin or shredded
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped green onions
2 to 3 tsp poppy seeds
Garlic powder or fresh garlic minced

Cut the bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting all the way through the bottom crust.  Insert cheese between all the cuts.  Mix butter, onions and poppy seeds and garlic; drizzle over the bread.  Wrap securely in foil and place on baking pan.  Bake 300 degrees for 10-15; open foil and cook 10 minutes longer until cheese melts.  Serve on a plate so folks can pull it apart and enjoy!
