Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

I'm not sure where I read this (so I can't give credit) but someone compared the unknowns in life to a train ride.  I don't remember how it really goes, but here's my version :-)

A father bought a train ticket for his daughter and told her they were going on a trip.  When they were boarding the train, the daughter asked her father for her ticket but he told her he would hold it for her until they reached their destination.  Trusting that he knew best and he would always remain with her, they boarded together and the journey began.  The journey was full of many new places and people to visit for a time and enjoy along the way.  They spent the trip together, talking, laughing, learning and making many priceless memories.

When they reached their destination, the daughter asked her father why he had never let her hold her own ticket.  He explained to her  that he knew he would always be with her and would know when and where to stop for a while and visit and when to get back on the train and move to the next place.  He knew where there might be danger and where there would be friends and places she would learn new things.  If he had given her the ticket, she might have focused only on the destination without taking the time to enjoy the many wonderful people and places along the way.

Although I do know the destination, I very much want to trust my Father and enjoy the journey, not missing the people and places along the way. I know my ticket is in good hands, and I'm loving the journey more and more along the way.
