Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

At the end of a long day...

It's good to feel exhausted, if you know you've been productive with your time for the day.  I like falling into my bed at night knowing I've packed all that I could into my day, while still knowing enough is enough.

I asked God to wake me up at 5:00 am again, and He did.  He never fails.  Sometimes I do, but He never does. :-) So I had a really good start to my day.  I actually completed my full three Morning Pages!  Haven't done that in a while.  I'm determined to work my way through The Artist's Way consistently over the next weeks and the very first and foremost thing that has to be done are those three pages, hand-written, of early morning "brain drain".  They really are an awesome exercise to clear the morning fog.  Well, that and a good cup of coffee LOL.

After getting John off to work, I decided it was time to tackle the weeds in the herb garden.  I'd let them go "natural", thinking it would be great to have all that mint and chamomile.  Yeah, whatever.  It just turned into a big weed bed.  This week has had a run of high temperatures of 100 degrees :-0. I got out there before the heat set in and got it done in about an hour and a half.  So much for Rachel earning the money to pay half the deductible for the car incident, but there's plenty of work I can find for her to do, I'm sure.

Then it was off to pick up our ground beef from Zaycon (shower first, of course) and bring it home to repackage and get it in the freezer.  That was a couple more hours.

Then it was time to rouse the kiddo to go hunt down some jeans for school.  We didn't find jeans, but wow did we find some good deals on clothes for both of us!  Old Navy made me smile from ear-to-ear today.  Shorts, tops and dresses, oh yeah.  And 55% off!!!  Score!

Then home for John's favorite comfort meal - spaghetti - with some extra kiddos hanging with us too.  He and his dad were working on a resume to get Josh into an apprenticeship at a local sheet metal union.  Face Time with my grands and making sure I got over 14000 steps today, and BAM - here I am in my pjs relaxing in my bed.

Tomorrow is a new day.  There's a new baby to love, Lana made her debut in the middle of the night. I'm so happy for my kindred spirit, she's in the Grandmothers' Club :-)

That's it folks!

Sammy
