Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

You'll understand when you get older...

... maybe.  I heard this a lot when I was younger.  I think it's true no matter how old you are.  If you're lucky enough to wake up tomorrow, you'll be older than you are today, and hopefully a bit wiser.

It's amazing how much we realize we don't understand before we understand.  LOL. It's kind of like the phrase, we don't know what we don't know.  It's often the case that we do know, we may have heard some nugget of wisdom shared, but until it's relevant to our personal situation we don't truly know.  We don't own the wisdom that comes from knowing. And that's okay. I love the phrase, pulling back the veil.  That's how it feels to me when I have a moment of clarity about a lesson.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take"
 Proverbs 3:5

Scripture can seem like a foreign language if it's not part of your daily habit.  I like the New Living Translation for this reason.  It has become part of my daily habit and it still seems like a foreign language to me sometimes LOL.  But this seems pretty clear to me.  Even when I think I understand something, I don't want to count on myself to apply the knowledge.  I seek him, and I seek him often, asking for wisdom to know how to live my life well and how to love others well.

"Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take..."

In all you do, not just some, but all.  Even when you think you know the right thing to do, ask first.  You might discover there's a better way.

Happy Friday!
