Sourdough
“Bread connects us to something ancient and sustaining. It teaches patience, gratitude, and the art of sharing.”

From my kitchen to yours — one loaf at a time.
Where My Sourdough Story Began
It started with a simple jar on my counter — flour, water, and a little curiosity. Over time, that bubbly starter became a quiet teacher: slow down, pay attention, and trust the process. Sourdough brought me back to the joy of making food with my hands, of feeding people I love, and of sharing something warm and simple that turns a meal into a moment.
From Loaves to Lessons
My kitchen slowly became a classroom. I started with Sourdough for Beginners and have since added workshops that help you build confidence loaf by loaf. Here’s what I currently offer — with more on the horizon:
Sourdough for Beginners
Starter care (feeding/storage), mixing, shaping, scoring, baking — your first beautiful loaf from start to finish.
Beyond the Basics
Consistency, inclusions (jalapeño–cheddar, chocolate–cranberry–walnut), and shaping for gorgeous crumb & rise.
Seasonal Bakes & Sharing Bread
Festive loaves, gifts-from-the-oven, and gentle hospitality ideas for gathering around the table.
The Sourdough Social Club
What began as a way to keep in touch with students has grown into a gentle community of bread-lovers and practical homesteaders — learning to live with resilience, right where we are, with what we have. The club is free and welcoming to beginners and seasoned bakers alike.
