Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

At last, a new post! I am presently working on my new laptop computer, a gift from my dear husband for Christmas. I love everything about it and am working hard to learn how to maximize use of all the tools. It's so nice to be able to bring it with me where ever I go rather than always traversing the basement stairs to go to the desktop (in the rather frigid basement). The kids all got their own (except Rachel - she got a Wii system that we are all also enjoying to the max)and I anticipate their use making our learning time much more fun and productive.

Our Christmas was wonderful and included a very full house. John's mom, three sisters, two of three brothers and spouses and kids all joined us for our new Lawson Christmas. John's mom finally felt compelled to hand the tradition on to us and we were thrilled to accept the honor (and the hard work).

We are now working our way through the, sometimes anti-climatic, after Christmas Day mood. I realize that the Christmas Season only begins on Christmas Day and continues into January but the thrill of holiday preparation comes to an end and the reality of a new year, liturgical and calendar, takes hold and inspires us to begin preparations of a different kind. John and I are anticipating a 'planning day' as a couple to see where our family is and what our goals for the new year will be. Being a 'planner' at heart, I look forward to digging deep and creating a path for our journey for the next year, as best we can, of course, all the while realizing that only God knows our path and we will constantly rely on Him to show us His will and ask for the graces to be obedient and faithful to Him.

I am posting some family photos. We have notoriously been bad about family photos or even individual photos for the kids - bad parents, bad, bad! I take comfort in knowing that I have the most precious snapshots of them where they can't be lost or destroyed - in my heart.

So much to write so little time and focus.
