Over the highway and through the rain
to Robin's house we go! Okay, so it's not Grandma's house but it is something to look forward to :-)
It's one of those days, you know the type, fuzzy, you can't really get focused on anything and you keep hoping you haven't forgotten anything really important. Maybe it's the fact that the weather has turned blessedly chilly! Yes, you read that right. I love cold weather and I know for a fact that I am not alone. I have not turned on the heat yet, even on the mornings when the kids arrive in the kitchen with their winter fuzzy blankets wrapped around themselves from head to toe. "Touch my nose, Mom," they complain. Lessons are more interesting when you can only distinquish which child you are looking at by the blanket they are wrapped in.
These days cry out for relaxed, lingering read alouds of wonderful books that take you to another time and another place. Hot chocolate and cookies or fresh bread baking in the oven... now that's what I call cozy!

I'm afraid most of my days are fuzzy ;o) We're loving the fall weather also! The chimney sweep was here last week and I'm typing this in front of our first fire of the season....perfection :o)
