Wow! Who knew???
I made the most amazing discovery today!!! It's December. Christmas is coming. It will be here entirely too soon and the long, cold winter will ensue. My past experience - too much to do, too little time to do it. The most important stuff gets pushed aside for the not important at all.
Soooo, here is what I discovered today. I don't HAVE to put up EVERY Christmas decoration I own. :-0 !!!!!! I started to have the usual stress attack about the house and all that still needs to be done when I suddenly realized... I could just stick the rest of that "stuff" back in the red totes from whence they came and stack them back in the garage out of the way until after Christmas when they will come back out again only to have the items already out and in use put back to be stored for another year. Bam! Done! The house looks great and very festive. You wouldn't know there is anything missing - which probably means there isn't. I even boxed up a few things that I really don't love to take to the thrift shop.
I continue to learn. There is progress in our home in many areas. One of the remaining monsters to defeat is the clutter monster. But I sense that the battle is about to be waged and I feel confident in our success. After all, we have a little advantage :-) God is a God of order, not chaos - and I am getting messages from every direction that this is an area that must be surrendered and held in strict discipline.
