Everyone has a story
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Life has reached a speed with which most of us simply cannot keep up.
The kinds of friendships we once experienced are few-and-far-between. I
suppose there are many reasons and not the least of which is technology.
With Facebook, blogging, Twitter, Instagram – the list goes on and on - we can
easily make the slow decent into isolation, whether we intend to or not. For me, the voices of my favorite blogs have
become a lifeline; a source of encouragement and inspiration. Online
friendships are no substitute for real life friends, but they can and do serve
a very valuable purpose. Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

I am nearing my 50th birthday. I have spent some time these past few years beating myself up over things I thought other women my age were not struggling with – petty, unimportant things – and there are a lot of those. As it turns out, I’m not alone at all, and although I may consider them petty they sure did take up a lot of real estate in my life. My emotions, time and energy were often spent wrestling with unseen and unheard foes. Something had to change. I discovered a huge network of women who were experiencing many of the same struggles, joys, lessons and growth, and I found them all through the rabbit trails of my favorite blogs.
Everyone has a story and every story has a beginning and an end, and all the stuff in between. There are parts of our stories that are more memorable to us, those that stand out as turning points in our lives – Watershed Moments. I think there is a part in all of us that desires to share our watershed moments, because those moments are the lessons that change us and set us free, little by little, to be who we really are - who we were created to be. When we can see how those moments have changed us for the better, we want to let others know they are not alone; we want to tell them there is hope for whatever struggle they are facing, and knowing you’re not alone in a struggle can be a balm for your soul, truly.
Have you experienced a watershed moment that changed everything for you?
