New year, new banner
It seems that each year the period between Christmas Day and New Year's Day are the best times for me to "play" on my blog. If you could see the way the banners have changed through the years you would agree, trust me. That's okay - because it's a reflection of the growth that has occurred throughout that year - or at the very least the change of perspective or maybe better attitude or priorities. Whatever the reason, there is a new banner on this blog and I think I like it. The sunflower definitely better represents me than the pretty but random flower I had previously. The dragonfly is very special, and I drew that one myself using the paint program on my computer. Talk about a one-hit-wonder. I could probably never do it again and that gives cause to think perhaps it was divine intervention for the brief moment.
Simply Susan - yep, that's staying. Simply become who you are... If I had to sum up the reason for having a blog in the first place it would be to encourage myself and others to "simply become who you are" - in God's eyes. That statement is simple (see that play on words - I didn't even mean to do that!) - but packed with so much more when we really dig into it. And that's what I really want to do in this space. I want to dig into who I am - who God created me to be - what is the purpose He has for me - what does He want me to say, to do, to believe? Am I becoming that person? What can I do to more fully embrace all that He wants for me?
So the journey continues...
Peace
Joy
Love
Hope
May your year be filled with these things!
