Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

I don’t know what it is lately with the number 12, but it seems to roll of my lips pretty regularly. :-)

I’m trying to do a lot of things; de-clutter, minimize, safe money, express creativity - did you notice there isn’t really any kind of theme to all that?  Nothing seems related to another.  Yeah, me too.  But it is what it is.  I was thinking maybe I could jump on here, set the timer (to 12 minutes, of course - what did you not just read what I wrote?! LOL) and see what I can produce quickly and then walk away...  So the timer is set and here we go!

Trying to get back to some serious basics - menu planning is one of them today.  Five kids, most of whom don’t live here anymore, and the one who does live here can’t seem to find an appetite for anything, let alone the meals I try to make to satisfy the unknown...

So, this morning during my blessed early morning quiet time, I quickly jotted down the 28 meals I knew without a doubt are things my husband and I will be content to have on a regular basis.  I can’t possibly work my daughter’s preferences in there because she simply eats nothing but - dare I say it? JUNK.  There.  I said it.  Well, wrote it.

This is where I landed...

1 Spaghetti
2 Goulash
3 Tacos
4 Fajitas
5 Meat loaf (and that’s a stretch)
6 Pork chops
7 Chicken in the rotisserie
8 Cabbage rolls
9 Chuck roast
10 French dip sandwiches
11 Chili
12 Bulgogi
13 Stuffed shells
14 Lasagna
15 Enchiladas
16 Sausage and biscuit
17 Ribs
18 Steak
19 Brisket
20 Pulled pork
21 Pizza
22 Hamburgers
23 Sloppy joes
24 Soup, salad and bread (lots of rotation possibilities here)
25 Fish - pan fried
26 Brats
27 Fried chicken
28 Fried rice, stir-fry and egg rolls

Some of these might have meals that are very closely related, but for the most part, this is what the 28 day rotation is going to look like.  Pretty simple.  Why didn’t I think of this before?  :-)

5 seconds left!

Until next time

Sam
