Give the Gift of Bread: A Cozy Sourdough Class for Beginners
With summer just around the corner and Mother's Day quickly approaching, I'm excited to share a new way to connect, learn, and create something beautiful together: a cozy, hands-on sourdough class perfect for beginners!
If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at baking real sourdough bread—or you know someone who has—this class is designed with you in mind. It’s gentle, approachable, and full of heart.
On May 29, I’ll be teaching a beginner-level sourdough class that walks you through the entire process of baking artisan-style bread at home. You’ll get your hands into the dough, learn foundational skills, and take home everything you need to start baking with confidence.
What You’ll Take Home:
A dough you’ll mix from start to finish during class, ready to ferment overnight and bake the next day
A fully proofed dough you’ll score in class and take home to bake that same day
A fully baked artisan-style sourdough loaf (baked by me!)
A sourdough starter kit that includes a mature, bubbly starter (ready to use the next day) and some basic tools to get you started
We’ll cover all the essentials: mixing, fermentation, gentle shaping, and scoring. Shaping will be simple and beginner-friendly, with more advanced techniques coming in future classes.
This is more than just a class—it’s a chance to slow down, do something with your hands, and leave with delicious bread, useful skills, and maybe even a new favorite hobby.
A Thoughtful Gift
This class also makes a wonderful Mother’s Day gift! Gift certificates are available upon request, and it’s a beautiful opportunity to come together with someone you love—or gift them a moment to themselves with a loaf of bread and a new skill.
