Epiphany #1
Yes, this happened to me yesterday. Thank God I didn't cause harm to anyone else or myself. It was definitely a moment of protection from many guardian angels!
My husband, who looks terrific in a suit, asked me to take his very expensive shoes into the repair shop to have the sole replaced. He had asked around for a good shoe repair shop and was told to go to a nearby town and drive down Main Street until you see the big Boot. Okay, that seemed simple enough; the town is quite small. I have driven through the town many times but never actually had to learn the traffic patterns. I was aware that there was a one way street that had to be maneuvered when you were traveling through the main street area via the highway. I just didn't realize the entire length of the Main Street was one way! What a crazy thing to do for a main thoroughfare! I went around blocks to a point where I thought it was no longer one way. Honestly, I did NOT see any 'no right turns' or 'one way' signs.
Because I was unfamiliar with the area and I was looking for the Boot my eyes were focusing up. Then I realized everyone was looking at me very oddly; then I realized all the cars (even the ones parked on my side of the road) were pointed in the opposite direction. Hello! I've become the little old, gray haired woman who drives the wrong way on a one way street - heaven help me!!!
