She's on to something, again!
In recent conversations with my dear friend, Anne, she has talked about her keen interest and involvement in something I had not yet become familiar with - Pure Fashion. Her blog post today mentioned it again so I looked it up - awesome!
This reminds me of a rant I recently wanted to post and then failed for several reasons. I hate mall shopping, absolutely hate it. In fact, I really don't enjoy shopping at all, there are always other things I'd rather be doing. But a trip to our smallish local mall with my eighteen year old to find clothes for her new job sent me over the edge, literally. I was walking and I began to laugh outloud, threatening to become hysterical at times. She vowed never to ask me to shop with her again. I made note, very vocally, that the LARGER than life size photos of male models in the shop weren't even wearing the store's brand clothing. Actually, they weren't wearing any clothes at all from the waist (that's a stretch - below the hips, falling off the hips) up. The photos of female models were in panties and very revealing tanks, laying back very provocatively. I wanted to scream for someone to please dress that poor kid! This is where our kids are shopping folks! Even our very young, pre-teens if they are being allowed to roam alone or with friends unsupervised by adults who will steer them clear of such places.
Need I mention the length of the mini-skirt and short-shorts that are the current trend???
Modesty is a challenge that many of us have come face to face with for our children and ourselves. My children, thankfully, are quite reasonable in their choices for clothing (with the exception of one bikini that makes me cringe). I, for one, will be learning more about this Pure Fashion.
Thanks, Anne :-)

Love ya lots!

Susan, I think you may have just exactly quoted a few of my rants to the hubs! Have you been hanging out as a fly on our walls? :o)
