It's beginning to look a lot like Spring

At least some days it's beginning to look a lot like Spring :-) And with that comes gardening fever - yes, I said gardening fever. It's somewhat like baby-fever but with a somewhat less lengthy commitment. We purchased some pre-made raised beds from Sam's Club today. We haven't opened the boxes yet - we want to take some time to consider more carefully if they will work for us. We have one bed that needs completely replaced and one that need repaired. Since John' knees are deteriorating and my abilities will be limited because of my back we have decided to transition to raised beds off the ground. We are looking for low maintenance and simplicity. Hmmm, can those words be used in reference to gardening?

I have six blueberry plants and four raspberry plants to get in the ground as soon as possible. We are trying to start more grape vines from cuttings so they are stewing on the top of the refrigerator in hopes they will take root. Experiments, always experiments in the garden.

I have definitely decided that my real passion is for herbs. I don't even know what to do with them but I am convinced I will learn. There are sooooo many!! What fun.
