Preparing for Lent

My dear husband initiated a conversation tonight about encouraging a deeper experience of Lent for our children (and ourselves). He has become quite good at providing resources for me that I didn't even know existed. The link from the title of this post will take you to an article that says exactly what our conversation really boiled down to. This past year has been a journey - a spiritual journey - for both of us. We made a decision to place and keep God at the center of our marriage and He has blessed us in ways we never imagined. We are no longer content to simply 'check the boxes'. We long for an ever deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father and with each other.
