Lessons Learned - Message to myself a year older and wiser
As I putter around the house contemplating the list of things to do and anticipating the new year I keep having little thoughts of what I could do differently next year to make things run a little more smoothly. I'm done beating myself up about the imperfections of our holidays - our ordinary days too for that matter. I'd rather turn my focus to where I can actually have a positive impact. These are things that I know we really enjoy doing as a family and have a desire to hold on to them. So, here is number one on the list that I will add to as the days pass and the dust settles.
1) Collect the items necessary for our Christmas Blessing Bags early enough that I can make sure they get to the intended recipients in a timely matter.
2) Christmas cards are possible if we start them early enough. In this age of digital communication and screen-addiction receiving a real card in the mailbox is a really nice touch. Something to consider around the first of November perhaps?
