Right & Responsibility

Perhaps 'right' isn't the accurate term. I'll have to explain later (reminder to self: Jesse Jackson article in The Nation). Privilege would be a better term. Responsibility is, without a doubt, the correct term. I have fulfilled my responsibility and exercised my right/privilege! Strange experience after 20 years in the military casting absentee ballots - lines! John and I were in line at 5:50 a.m. and we were in a pretty long line at that. I won't complain; I'm thrilled to know that a lot of folks joined us in exercising their right and responsibility.

I plan to pull Robin's Electoral College curriculum out even though we didn't accomplish using it during these past weeks. I'll learn plenty as the nation anticipates the crucial results of the Electoral College.
