It's All Good
Blogging - the good, the bad and the ugly :-) Just stopping in to write a quick post because some of my friends from a distance think I might have fallen off the face of the earth, not so!
A quick summary; post-vacation blahs have long gone - I'm just too busy to let them get me down for very long. I'll hang on to the warm fuzzies to spur me on to the next one.
Since our return we have had company a couple of times, gone to Raging Rivers, bbq-ed with friends, visited my mother very briefly before bringing my brother and his wife back with me for an airport trip. They are off on a great adventure but leave behind children and grandchildren, friends and family who will miss them more than words can express. I have met with co-coordinators to come up with great plans for our teen group, started thinking about the homeschool group activities for the upcoming year and dreamed (in both waking and sleeping hours) of the planning to be done for my own curriculum(s). I have said good-bye to friends leaving the area, a sister-in-law moving far enough away that our regular yearly visits will be us traveling to them rather than them to us (they are going to an awesome location in the midst of terrific opportunities for our family visits), and preparing to welcome old friends back to the area. All this moving - that was us not so long ago. It feels rather odd to not be packing up and leaving - odd but great!
Now I am off to a night with girl friends to celebrate the birthdays of wonderful women in my life. There's another birthday coming up that I would love to help celebrate on location but it might have to wait for just a few weeks/months :-) Anne, it is time to meet up again!
Thanks for being my ears and eyes friends.
