That was no fun fishing trip!
Oh boy, among the things that haven’t been the same for this year we can now add the fishing trip. My poor husband (and in this case my daughter too!) He spent the entire trip out and back feeding the fish - and I don’t mean with a rod and bait. He had a brief moment of reprieve when he caught an eel that he had to release promptly. Then it was back to leaning over the side of the boat. I’ve never seen him look quite so miserable. They passed on our shopping time at John’s Pass and returned to the condo to sleep it all off. I can report that they have fully recovered, but both have declared they won’t be doing that ever again. Of course my husband back peddled just a smidgen a day later LOL.
I had tried to hunt down the Andie’s Fish Fry but never found it. What I did find was Zataran’s and I handed it off to the other crew which had no issues with sea sickness and were able to bring some fish home to cook and eat. They were gracious and shared their catch with us the next day. :-)
Note to self *** remember to bring your ticket stubs for next year (if we return) for a discount on the next fishing trip!!
Oh I wish, I wish, I wish I were a fish - who knows what that came from???
