Creme Brulee

So, my son decided weeks ago that Creme Brulee is his new favorite dessert!  It's been mine for quite some time.  I remember a friends telling me about a trip she made with a friend and getting that last delicacy in before they departed their vacation spot became quite a comedy act but well worth it!  I had never had the pleasure at the time she shared that story.  My first time was at a local Houlihan's Restaurant where I also go to enjoy my favorite appetizer - fried calamari!  Hmmmm, makes me hungry just thinking about it.  But... I have discovered that another local favorite has an even better Creme Brulee - Peel Pizza in Edwardsville has the best!  And to be honest, Olive Garden has better calamari :-) 

Anyway,  Josh and I made Creme Brulee tonight.  We cheated.  We used a box mix.  Not nearly as good and doesn't deserve the same bragging rights but it was still yummy.

I look forward to more cooking with my teens this year - it will be part of school :-)
