Hello! Today is:

SEE WHAT'S NEW!

It’s five o’clock somewhere...

But not here.  Actually, it’s not five o’clock anywhere because I don’t think the time changes work like that, but it made a good title for now.

It is, however, Friday.  And it is 5:45 our time (central standard time).  John and I are waiting, waiting, waiting for Josh to get back from delivering payment for his first apartment!!!  He’s so excited.

In the course of the week, we have packed and moved Mandie and Dakota from the three bedroom, two bath, two car garage house they rented from Sarah and Brad into one bedrooom in our house, a bit of the basement and a 10 X 15 storage unit.  Tonight we are moving Josh to that new apartment, and in a couple days we’ll be helping unload and unpack Sarah and Brad!!!

This has required a lot of “resetting” space to utilize it well and not end up with a cluttered mess, but it seems to be working out okay.  I still hope to have space to sew and craft just a little.  The basement will also house an elliptical and some workout equipment.  I am hoping to spread out just a bit as we absorb the room Josh was in.

Patrick showed up to help move Josh.  I am glad for that.

Alex flew into Orland Thursday to help pack, load and share the drive time with Brad, and Steph flew in on Tuesday to help do the same.  I hear there was a phone call to a sister declaring four kids is a LOT of kids!! :-) Well, yeah it is.  I know. LOL

Steve brought another bag of clothes for Cailin last night.  It is full of wonderful!!!  I’m really so very thankful for folks who have stepped up in various ways.

The wine in chillin’ in the fridge - one for John and one for me.  Seriously.

Speaking of wine, I bought us some Wine Passports.  :-). The cover is made of real cork, and they’re very nice.  I look forward to experiencing some new wines (and some old ones) and recording them in there.  I have found that I enjoy a good, sweet red wine.  Moscato or not, as long as it’s sweet and red it’s all good to me.

We need a vacation.  Just John and me.  WE need a vacation.  We look forward to and enjoy our Florida beach vacation in the summer, but we’re starting to dream of a winter spot.  One with a secluded cabin, and a hot tub, a fireplace and lots of windows so we can look out at the clear night sky full of stars.  Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?

Christina and Josh went to Louisville this weekend for their maternity photos!  I think it’s pretty cool that the first real photos that Christina took are of the same person (maternity as well) who is taking her maternity photos. Nice.

And hey, look - I figured out how to access my photos, so there should be lots of them included here from now on!!!

That’s all for now.  Be back soon!
