Situation update

Still a the condo in Florida :-) Made the decision on Sunday I wasn’t going to let the pipes ruin my wonderfulvacation holiday.
So we spent a good part of the day on Sunday (11:00-4:30) on the beach. Then we came up, showered, relaxed a while. Nope - that’s not true. I showered and then had to go shopping for a little more food supplies. I hadn’t bought any dinner meat or supplies. I went, armed with a better attitude and the original list I made from home. The girls and Sawyer and I all went and got what we needed. Came back, grilled hot dogs and such, hung out at the hot tub and pool and visited with the Chadbourne crew. It was a wonderful night. In fact, it was a wonderful day.
Yesterday the Jacobs crew arrived around 12:00. We hung out, went to the beach despite the fact that it was very overcast and the waves were whipping pretty angrily. We spent a little time out there though and the kids enjoyed it. We came back in, cleaned up and headed to Cooters for all you can eat crab legs. The price went up, again. We doubt very much that we will ever go back in future years. I don’t think it’s worth it anymore. For that price, we could buy our own and eat almost as much as we want LOL
We went to Kooky Coconut and got ice cream after the Jacobs crew left to return to Kissimmee. I have to say how very thankful I am that it was not the same kind of good-bye we had this time last year. I said this good-bye knowing (God willing!) that we will all be together again in a couple of weeks back home. I lie when I say I would be okay with my kids all living scattered about. I would learn to deal with it, yes, but I would not be okay with it. So there. Truth
I was awoken this morning by my daughter’s chipper voice on the phone. LOL It was time to get up anyway. We enjoyed coffee and chit-chat on the balcony. The sun is out. The water is calmer. It’s a beach day. Breakfast first.
Fishing day will be Thursday because the boat for tomorrow only had one opening and the weather looks to be better anyway. One week is never enough. Two is sometimes too much. I wish we’d arranged it so that the first week was with family, and the second was just John and me. We desperately need the time together and alone. Gatlinsburg is looking more and more real. I need to reach out one more time to my brother for the info. I will do that after I click publish. Then... breakfast and beach! Oh and BOOK! :-)
It’s a good day. Photos, Susan, remember to take photos.
