Rachel's First Holy Communion

A new season of life is certainly upon us. We are actively planning our oldest daughter's wedding, preparing for our second youngest's confirmation and just recently celebrated our youngest's First Holy Communion. While it may just be the gloomy weather outside today, I sense a bit of melancholy - "sober thoughtfulness". Perhaps that is not the right word because I am definitely not depressed or sad - these are all wonderful, holy sacraments to be celebrated with joy. I believe it is just the sense of change heading our way that leaves me in sober thoughtfulness.
